DESCRIPTION

The GIM-6 "Shuriken" TADS Unit/VSRAD (Towed Air Defence System/Very Short Range Air Defence) is a small modular manually operated SAM system designed with simplicity & effectiveness in mind. There is much less complexity in comparison to the Spiral & Helix at the cost of slightly less range & missiles to use. Compared to the Spiral’s 2.5km range, the Shuriken can only do 2km, however is more effective at taking down oncoming aircraft as well as being better at side-aspect shots.

Rather than using the likes of a fire control system, the "Shuriken" emits an audible tone upon when to fire, similar to that of a MANPAD. This tone is variable depending on where you’re aiming, and is ready to fire once a constant tone is heard.

HOW TO USE: (PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING)

– Press STAND
– Sit in the seat.
– Press MASTER ARM
– Aim at a target, make sure you have a constant audible tone emitting from the launcher.
– To fire, you MUST have a radar lock on a target, similar to that of a real MANPAD.
– Upon hearing a constant tone, fire using your trigger button (Default = Spacebar)

– Press RADAR YAW SLEW to make the launcher automatically yaw towards a target, please note you will STILL need to modify your pitch manually.
