DESCRIPTION

The BGM-28 "Avast" is a Mobile CM (Cruise Missile) System designed for high-precision hit capability 30km away. Unlike it’s much larger cousin the SRBM-1 "Abacus", the BGM-28 is much higher cost at the benefit of more precision and targeting capabilities. The cruise missiles themselves have a top speed of Mach 0.8, capable of both hitting direct GPS coordinates as well as radar targets, and come in a quad-packed launcher.

HOW TO USE: (PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING)

To use the missile system:

– Make sure the trucks battery is ON so that the systems on it can be used.
– Go to the MISSILE OPERATOR seat, press STATION POWER at the top right.
– Press EXTEND LAUNCHER and EXTEND STABILIZERS.
– Input an XYZ target:
– To input a XYZ target with the keypad, put your coordinates into the keypad at the bottom of the lower monitor and then press the INPUT WAYPOINT button. Press the RADAR PATROL WAYPOINT/TARGET GPS WAYPOINT to choose whether the missile patrols a waypoint in search for a radar target, or targets a GPS target head on.
– To input an XYZ target with the map, press T on the top monitor, and press somewhere on the map. Use the TARGET ALTITUDE button as your modifier.
– Press MASTER ARM at the bottom right.
– Press FIRE SELECTED PYLON to fire the launcher, press PYLON INCREASE to select the second missile.

STARTUP PROCEDURE FOR TRUCK

– BATTERY ISOLATOR
– RELEASE HYDRAULIC BRAKE
– IGNITION [ALLOW ENGINE TO REACH ATLEAST 4RPS]
– REDUCE VARIABLE HANDBRAKE TO 0
– DRIVE GEAR [OR REVERSE GEAR DEPENDING ON SITUATION]
– [W] TO DRIVE, [S] TO BRAKE

DEFINITIONS:

– RADAR PATROL WAYPOINT/TARGET GPS WAYPOINT Off: The missile will patrol a waypoint in search of a radar target. On: The missile will hit a GPS target head on.

– XYZ REQUIRED: The system has not detected any GPS target put in.

– V: Show range between launcher & target on the map screen.

– T: Input an XYZ target using the map screen.
