Grass, Soil, Sand, Rock and Roads!

Allows you to build all of the previously unbuildable vanilla floor tiles (except ice).
Everything uses vanilla textures, so nothing will look out of place!

Apart from fertility (for gameplay balance), all added terrain is identical to their vanilla counterpart.
That means they create dirt, have movement penalties, and (in the case of rock) can even be smoothed!

Finally you can make a nice garden for your pawns, or connect your buildings with roads!

Each floor also has a unique walking speed, so pawns will walk slowly through thick mud, and quickly over roads!

Info

I’ve tried to balance everything added in this mod to ensure it fits nicely with standard RimWorld gameplay.
My aim was to make a mod that blends seamlessly into the game to the point where it feels like an official addon.

All terrain added in this mod is infertile by default.
This means you can’t grow crops, but also weeds won’t grow.
So it is perfect for decorating your base!

There is however, a fertile subset that can be built. Each having a different level of fertility.
These are not as fertile as their vanilla counterparts, providing a max of 70% fertility for the most fertile type.

The infertile tiles are cheap to build, and are intended for decoration.
Fertile land will take more work and resources to build.

Roads have also been added – both Packed Dirt and Asphalt.
Packed dirt road is relatively cheap to build, but asphalt road is very expensive and takes a long time to build.
It is also locked behind the Deep Drilling research, and won’t appear in the Architect menu until you have that reasearched.

All floor tiles are arranged neatly in drop down menus to avoid cluttering the UI.

Gameplay Settings

Everything in this mod can be enabled or disabled using the settings menu.
If you don’t like being able to build roads, you can disable them.
If you don’t want to be able to build fertile land, this can be disabled.
If you want everything to be free, this can also be toggled in the settings.

There are two gameplay types to this mod – selectable in the mod options menu – Standard and Simplified.

Standard Requirements

Using the newly added Gardening Table in the production category, you can craft soil, gravel, sand, and compost.

Various mixtures of these resources are used to build the new terrain found in the Floors category.

Simplified Requirements

With Simplified Requirements enabled, there is no Gardening Table or resource bags.
Instead all terrain is built using only standard materials such as wood and stone chunks.

Usage Rights & Translation

Please do not reupload a copy of this mod called something like "Vanilla Terrain (continued)".
When a new update comes out, 90% of the time all that is required is to add "<li>1.4</li>" to the About.xml file, which I can do myself.

I have fully translated my mod into German, however I used Google Translate so the translation is likely terrible.
If anyone would like to translate my mod into any other language, please reach out and I will provide you the necessary files and add you as a contributor!

If you have any issues or suggestions for the mod, please let me know in the discussions section and I will help out.

Technical Info

The cost to produce each resource and build each floor tile has been carefully balanced to ensure they don’t feel like cheating, but also are not too hard to build.
