DESCRIPTION
The J-108 Shrike is an All Weather Heavy Interceptor. Initial design elements of the J/A-107 proved inadequate for long range interception, so massive dual engines were installed to provide the thrust needed to destroy its target. The tradeoff it got for high speed and acceleration was that it lacked an ARU system, which limited its maneuverability at high speed. It has access to medium range and short range Air to Air armaments, with an impressive eight air to air missiles, primarily using the AIM-3m7 missile. BGM-14 missiles are also an option, for less maneuverable and slower targets. In addition to these deadly missiles, it can also carry standard Newquay weapons. This project was a joint venture between NordahlLunden and Newquay Armed Forces.
STARTUP PROCEDURE:
– Ensure Primary Battery breaker is turned ON
– Flip the "Fuel pump" switch on the right side of the cockpit
– Turn on the engine via the right side panel
– Use throttle to control aircraft
