JointCom Armoury – MX Retextures

The second mod in the JCA Standalone mod selection, the JCA MX Retexture Project. If like us, you ever noticed the black MX rifles have scuffed textures, then this mod is for you. The original aim of this project was to fix the black MX pattern rifles, which after some investigating seems to be missing colour layers which resulted in the detail layers on a pitch black background, and this the iffy textures. Of course the lads and myself can’t just leave a job 1/3 done, so we ended up re-working the other two MX colour variants… and then reworking the materials coding to make it less shiny.

Features:

▪ MX Rifles are now single colour tone.
▪ MX Black texture rework to fix default texture issues.
▪ MX Khaki texture rework to better blend with tropic environments.
▪ MX Sand texture rework to match the new designs of the Black & Khaki Variants.

▪ Removed most decals from the MX rifles.
▪ Fire select updated to icons rather than words.
▪ Reworked materials code to make the MX rifles more matte.

Compatibility Patch:

Arma 3: Aegis: (Currently Broken) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2589275377

Known Issues:

▪ Current Aegis Compatability Patch does not replace the sand MX 6.5 mm textures. (Does replace the shiny materials.) This will be looked into once Arma 3: Aegis updates its stable branch
