[UMW40K] Desecration of Orax
"Humanity’s finest warriors are known throughout the galaxy, but what of the worlds that stood no chance?"
The final installment of Orax is here! This contains all three (technically four) missions of the Orax series, Now with Co-op! Now you may bring friends to suffer along with you!
Note: as the missions were designed with singleplayer in mind, cooperative may be quite unforgiving.
Be sure to keep the music on for the uppermost experience, unless you wish to hear all the death crescendo.
All missions have been updated for better performance, but if you know your potato may not survive, try turning down your settings and restarting the game after every mission.
Average playtime to completion: around 3-ish hours depending on the difficulty and your style.
Difficulty recommendations:
- Easy: Because war is easy! 😀
- Normal – Hard: How it was meant to be played.
- Heroic: SUFFER.
Now, let’s take a look at the missions included:

Fall from Grace – The prologue: shorter and simple compared to the rest, it is an intro afterall.

Looming Damnation – Split into two parts.

Vigilance Through Anguish – The grim conclusion: watch your step.
Random tips:
- Green and blue boxes are your friend, resupply yourself!
- Convenient stacks of black boxes are also friends, take a peak inside,
- Beware of grenades.
Compiled credits:
- Corpses, hanging bodies, and flashlights from older mod versions, which originated from Dark Sintera.
- VanRaygo for covered bodies.
- The Dawn of War II: Elite Mod for two portraits.
- SalvadorTrakal[www.deviantart.com] for that guardsman image.[www.deviantart.com]
Music used will have their names inside the .txt file of the mod’s music folder.
More credits located in the in-game credits.

Farewell Orax! Now, let’s take a look into potential future content! (on hold)
Please note these are just concepts and not confirmation of their future creation.

Expectations for Darktide …nevermind- maybe? 😀

Because a little Promethium is the solution to many problems.

"But I can’t just constantly do all the overdone human stuff: Death Korps this, Space Marine that. We need substance!"
-said no humanbeing ever. But who said we were human? wink wink

"BRING FORTH THE TORCH."

Anyone who knows the reference image gets a firm smack in the face, and a cookie.

Oh dear..

Ahh, classic 40k.
More images Soon™
Due to the character limit, more future content will be placed in a pinned discussion.
Content still on the drawing board:
I am also not limited to just 40k, I wouldn’t want to become tired of it. Planned non-40k content will be neatly placed here once I get them ready. I’m currently eyeballing something particularly muddy.
What about Gates of Hell?
With 64-bit comes even more possibilities, It may be time to leave good ‘ol Assault Squad 2.
Now, the new crusade begins…
*Sees price*
…
The crusade can wait…
But how many of these will actually come to fruition? It is an unfortunate truth that most 40k projects fall apart either by the creator’s ambition, Our Spiritual Liege®, Or a Very Certain Community™… Only time will tell.
Speak of the devil, I’m taking a break from modding for now, all projects are currently on hold.
My apologies D:

Modding help:
- How exactly does the game recognize .avi’s? The ones I attempt to import appear blank in-game.
- I require a good source for good female screams. Not the "oof, aah- ooh~" and more of the "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" type.
Random Trivia:
- This account is run by more than one person, but you can often tell who is who. For instance, the one writing this is me, and not the other me, but would you know that?
- This looks like 40k, but due to international copyright laws, it’s not…
…Orax is a completely unofficial and non-profit project and is in no way affiliated with Games Workshop®. Blah blah all rights reserved, please don’t sue me.
That’s about it for now, this thing is getting too long anyway! Until we meet again.
