AAPM 4 – Core System

AAPM 4 brings back the functionality of AAPM on current ACE, additionally it has now restored the Durability factor of AAPM without the dreaded duplication bug in which has followed Berlioz ever since the creation.

Thank you to those who got me back to modding, i was tired of working on AAPM I missed the little details which made it hard to complete the repair.

AAPM stands for Advanced Armor Plate mod and has been mainly developed by V.Berlioz and SonicT, what we have done with this release is we have fixed one of the original bugs that has plagued AAPM ever since it was known as SABRE. What you have before you is about 4000 plates, each with their own statistics, and are meant to be tested together with another of Berlioz’s mod. UAS

Q- "How does this work compared to Diwako’s Armor plate system?"
A- Diwako’s mod is more elegant, starring its own UI and a whole revive system for when you do not have ACE3 running, however, it does not sport leg, arm or head protection, and it does not sport more than 1 plate (its strength can be calibrated by the user). AAPM sports segmented protection in various values, as well as whole bodysuits and fragsuits, and its strength is instead separated into multiple real life ratings from the NIJ, VPAM, GOST systems.

Q- "How do I know the plate works?"
A- "Once it is inside your vest you should be good to go. This includes helmets, portions, even mutators from the special section

Q- "I followed the screenshots, but when I select the magazines tab, my game crashes!"
A- "If you are using the xl plate package, or UAS, or both, or just have a lot of mods (in other words you have a lot of magazines to load) then your game will freeze, throwing you to the plate galaxy, despite many attempts to lighten this by berlioz and others, the most substantial fix is removing mods/content packages for faster loading, or you could just take it like a chad.

Q- "Bruh where am I gonna start if i just need a plate that is up to scratch."
A- "if you are the adventorous type, you can hover your mouse on a plate in your inventory (not in the arsenal) is a good place to start for understanding how it all works.
If you don’t want to waste time, Grab a 96034 (Assuming you have the XL plate package) and go right ahead.

As a final note. Time to discuss Body armour levels.

NIJ is your bread and butter. Stuff up to NIJIII is mostly for pistols/Civilian/Police stuff.
NIJIV is the medium standard. Both militaries and law enforcement will use these.

Despite what a lot of websites say, there is a NIJV, and the list goes even higher. NIJV hosts military stuff for higher cals such as 7.62 special or normal rounds, however it carries over into private body armour work, which means that you may also find more special plates around here, using new materials, weighing lighter, some of these are the aforementioned 96034, the AA4 series, and some of the LIBA stuff.

The biggest of boys are from NIJVIII and VPAM12 (and whatever the russian GOST version there is i dont remember)
these go from 50. to 14.5 and i swear there was a 23mm rated one somewhere around there. These ones as expected, are heavy.

Keep in mind that other than the highest rated plates, all plates may be heavier or lighter, as some are really high tech compared to others.

we believe its up to spec with UAS, and should follow the ratings, however since the ACE3 Rewrite, there has been their integration of some kind of armor simulation, which may make your bullets weaker (AP in 5.56×45 and 7.62×51 cartridges, seem to create smaller wounds than FMJ/GPR rounds would.) We have a plan for this, but it may take time, so no promises.

Plates don’t get removed when their durability is out, which means they still weigh the same, but do nothing, there are no other effects from this it seems.
