DLC Requirements: This mod requires both Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm DLC to use.
Introduces the Mesoamerican Olmec to Civilization VI.
Po Ngbe has come a long way from being that infuriating leader graphic budding modders couldn’t replace in their attempts to make their own custom civilization using my template. You can now use him, in 3D animated form, to lead the Olmec Empire to glory.

Alliances of the heartland
Settlers and Builders ignore movement penalties in Hills terrain. Cities founded on the Olmec’s home continent grant an Envoy. Receive a free Settler in the Olmec Capital upon becoming the Suzerain of any City-State type for the first time.
This includes the City-State types from the CIVITAS CIty-States mod.
Stone Gods
Melee and Ranged units occupying, or adjacent to, a Colossal Head improvement receive +7 Combat Strength.
Stone and Marble each grant +2 Faith, whilst Jade grants +3 Culture.
Mines and Quarries receive +2 Faith from an adjacent Colossal Head improvement.
Colossal Head
+1 Faith, +1 Culture.
Grants nearby Melee and Ranged units a Combat Strength bonus.
In addition, provides +20 HP healing every turn for friendly religious units occupying a Colossal Head improvement.
Can only be constructed in cities with a population of at least 6. Cannot be constructed adjacent to another Colossal Head.
Werejaguar
Unique Olmec replacement for the Spearman, with +5 CS compared with that unit.
+8 Combat Strength during a Golden Age.

This mod also replaces the La Venta City-State with the Chocolá City-State.
Chocolá Suzerain Bonus:
Suzerain will be granted two free copies of the Cocoa Luxury Resource.

This mod includes code to make it compatible with Tomatekh’s Historical Religions. If you are using Leugi’s City Styles, it will also utilise styles from that mod.
The Leader UA is compatible with CIVITAS’ City-States mod – it recognises the four additional types of City-States introduced by that mod (Agricultural, Consular, Entertainment and Maritime).
It should also be compatible with most other popular mods, including UI mods, as well as any mods that add new units or features in bulk to the game. Please report specific incompatibilities you might notice in the comments section, citing the mod with which you believe this to be incompatible.

Whilst I have re-worked this release to include my own artwork in all cases, credit must be given to Durkle who’s own Olmec mod served as the very initial basis for this civilization. The modding community on CivFanatics and in the Discord-based Civ VI Modding Helpline also played a role in this eventually being released.

Please don’t be shy. I welcome feedback, of all kinds. I’ve been modding a while, but this is my first release.

The Unique Improvement will not show the icon on the Loading/Diplomacy Screens in the way a Unique Improvement normally would. This is due to the way it unlocks. It is still unique to the Olmec Empire.
In addition, constructing your first Colossal Head will not trigger a Historic Moment, nor grant Era Score. I am working on this. It is, again, due to the nature of the unlock.
