Description:

Fast-paced, large-scale zombie battles! This mod changes the Soviet faction into zombies that get stronger and more numerous as the game progresses. Meant to be played on 2x resources 200 pop cap annihilation against the AI with a 1:1 ratio of AI to players. You could try 1x resources if you like suffering or play as zombies if you have the APM for it.

You Must Use Easy Soviet AI !!!!

On 2x resource 200 popcap (annihilation) you must kill the Outbreak Source (zombie HQ) to win.

Features:

  • Soviet faction are now zombies for AI.
  • Players can choose to be either Soviet or Zombies.
  • All zombies have melee range.
  • Every unit the zombies kill will be converted into the undead.
  • All zombies are infantry, to compensate they receive no cover bonus and are 5x easier to hit.
  • Special zombies have effects.
  • Zombie attacks have penetration, no tank is safe!
  • Every 5 minutes zombies get stronger and more numerous units. Max tech at 30 minutes.
  • Every 10 minutes a large horde will appear.
  • Zombies cannot repair, heal, nor reinforce.

Other Changes

  • Sniper costs are halved and shoot a bit faster.
  • Snipers are available for USF and OKW.
  • Easy AI has been changed and is now OP.
  • Although zombies are melee, your units will receive cover bonuses as normal.
  • All factions have an additional build menu for defensive buildings.
  • All factions can build Experimental units.
  • All factions can build resource depots and supply trucks for additional income.
  • Most commander units and upgrades are available.
  • Barbed wire does not block zombies after 20 minutes.
  • AT gun, Tank Destroyer, and RPG weapons apply debuffs and have increased AoE at the cost of lower damage.
  • Various other changes for gameplay or balancing reasons. Refer to unit list discussion for more details.

Tips:

  • Use the recommended settings in the first paragraph or picture
  • Use snipers to take out special zombies
  • Use artillery to take out bombardiers
  • For AI teammates it’s recommended to use easy AI
  • Tech up quickly to AoE vehicles
  • Make lots of barricades and defenses
  • Keep your resource float low
  • Ensure that points are secured before pushing.
  • Make a Mobile Command Post ASAP (can be found in the modded engineer menu)
  • Refer to the difficulty discussion for details on how to make the game harder/easier

Future Changes (No Promises):

  • Improved AI.
  • Custom units for other factions.
  • Only one difficulty because of the way spawning works.

Issues:

  • Not balanced, need testing and feedback.
  • May have performance issues from the number of units.
  • Zombies capture faster for AI purposes. To compensate, all infantry capture faster too.
  • Zombies have difficulty finishing players off.
  • Barricades may not build complete walls. Just fill in the gaps of the wall.

There may be incompatibility issues with some custom maps causing it to lag. This is usually due to improper pathing which causes zombies to clump up at a specific point and not move from there. There may also be an issue with orders progressively having longer delay it is hardware related when multiplayer is involved. Smaller, easily pathable (i.e. less bridges), maps are generally better for performance. If you notice a map performs worse than others it’s probably best to just not play that map.
