Denounced by the Church for "straying from the Light", these former Vestals now seek out those texts declared forbidden and apocryphal in their search for the Truth. Many question their morality, but none doubt their tenacity…

The Apostate acts as a formidable group leader who empowers allies as their wounds mount. Despite renouncing the healing practices of the Vestal, she still has the uncanny ability to keep others from succumbing to death, albeit through very different techniques. When provoked, she is capable of unleashing power that devastates any who stand in her way.

The Apostate comes with 3 new shared trinkets and 7 unique class trinkets, each bolstering a different aspect of her playstyle. Of special note, her trinket set is "Very Rare" and obtainable from the Ruins instead of the Crimson Court!

Stress heal the party. Heroes below 50% HP receive extra stress healing.

Harm the party, and grant powerful damage buffs that are active when below 50% HP.

Borrowed Time

Cure a companion of bleed & blight, and award them 1 Block. Also increases DODGE when at Death’s Door.

Tenebrosity

Blast the front three enemies with darkness. DMG is increased by +33% with each use. Also harms all of the Apostate’s companions.

Incite

Harm a companion, and grant them an extra action. The companion also receives a damage buff if they are below 50% HP.

Desecrate

Can only hit Corpses
Destroy a corpse, inflicting blight and stun to all other enemies.

DIALOGUE WITH THE DEAD

Time Cost: 3
Target: One Companion
Brings a companion to Death’s Door and back again. Prevents nighttime ambush and awards Scouting chance.

Time Cost: 2
Target: One Companion
Gives ACC and CRT to a companion with Mortality Debuffs.

SUSTAIN FLESH

Time Cost: 5
Target: Party
Gives MAX HP and PROT. Extra effective on heroes with Mortality Debuffs. May stress religious heroes.

UNORTHODOX CEREMONY

Time Cost: 3
Target: All Companions
Large stress heal. Extra effective on heroes with Mortality Debuffs. May stress religious heroes.

"Anything I need to know?"

Try to avoid summoning the ‘Walking Corpse’ during bossfights, as summons in this game can sometimes interfere with boss mechanics or quest credit!

"Will the Apostate conflict with any other mods?"

No.

"What district does the Apostate use?"

The Athenaeum.

"Any party class restrictions?"

None! She can team up with any class. Try grouping her with a Vestal to discover unique dialogue lines.

"Can I use multiple Apostates in a party?"

Yes!

"What is her crit effect?"

She buffs the party with "-Crits Received Chance" when she crits.

"Custom afflictions/virtues?"

The goal was for Apostate to feel like a new vanilla class. She therefore uses the normal pool of afflictions & virtues.

"Does she have a special low health or death effect?"

No, for the same reason.

"What is her default name?"

Dolores.

"What languages are supported?"
