Venom SST

We’re Cruis’n now! Venom SST, otherwise known as Serpent, drifts in from classic arcade series Cruis’n!

Moveset:

Movement: You may notice Venom SST has unusual movement stats for a fighter – this was to help carry over the feeling of weight and momentum present in Cruis’n World! A car can definitely go fast, but that speed is very deliberate, so you need to be careful lest you launch yourself off the stage!

Nspecial: Blast!! As you hit your opponent, you’ll gain fuel for your Blast! meter, straight from 2017’s Cruis’n Blast! When a segment is filled, you can hit special to activate his deadliest attack! The more fuel in your tank, the stronger the Blast! is!

Fspecial: Roadkill! You’ll fling a cow to your front, and it’ll bounce along… However, if it gets hit by anything, it’ll explode into steaks, just like the Cruis’n arcade versions! You can hit the cow yourself for some extra cover, or use it like a projectile counter! You can hold up or down as well to launch the cow at different angles!

Uspecial: Jump Flip! The most iconic move from Cruis’n World! If you use it on any hitable entity, or approach a ledge with it, you’ll launch yourself upwards, leaving your opponents in the dust! If you’re holding up or down before your flight, you can influence your launch angle!

Dspecial: Starting Girl! She’ll jump out and grab her trusty checkered flag, and do her iconic triple swing! If an opponent is caught in her strikes, they’ll find themselves comboed!

Jab: Beefcake Boy! Venom SST can’t exactly jab for himself, so the hyped-up Beefcake Boy does it for him! It’s not terribly strong, but it’s one of Venom SST’s few disjointed options!

Ftilt: U-turn! He’ll swipe his whole body around, making for a surprising strike! The very back of the car has a tipper!

Utilt: Body Smack! A swift smack upwards that covers your whole body! Good for starting combos!

Dtilt: Hydraulic Bump! A slower, but chunkier, 2-hit combo! The last hit sends the opponent behind you!

Dash attack: Side Wheelie! Swing yourself around quickly, dragging your opponent with you! If you hold in the direction of where you’re going, you’ll continue dashing!

Fstrong: Crash! Road King! The Road King, a fellow car from Cruis’n World, slams into your back, causing a devastating flying crash! Watch out though, as you’ll go into freefall afterwards!

Ustrong: Flying Crash! Kamikaze AWD! Another car from Cruis’n World shows up to assist Venom SST! Kamikaze AWD flings you upwards for a sky-high smash! You’ll go into freefall after this as well, so watch out!

Dstrong: Spinning Crash! Scarab! A third starter car from Cruis’n World appears! Fortunately this time, Scarab won’t send you into freefall, and will instead give you a strong multi-hit attack!

Nair: Super Heli! One of the tricks from Cruis’n World, this attack is a pretty simple lingering aerial!

Fair: Mega Roll! Another trick from Cruis’n World, spin around in a multi-hit that covers your whole body!

Bair: Offroader! Spinning your back wheels around will cause another multi-hit, but this time if you land while doing it, you’ll get a speed boost!

Uair: Trunk Slam! A solid smack from your trunk is great for both combos, and finishers!

Dair: Front Flip! Swing your trunk downwards for a devastating meteor smash!
