Description:

Adds 400 characters in the game from all nations with 3D models.


The mod adds a wide range of period-accurate historical characters with hand-crafted 3D models into the character spawn pool. We currently support English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.

You are free to use the content of this mod in your mod(s) as long as you give credit (rinbro).


The mod aims to be:

  • International – From US presidents to Aboriginal Australian leaders, from Zulu warlords to Japanese revolutionaries, we aim to deliver a wide scope of authentic characters representative of the Victorian era.
  • Immersive – The mod blends in with vanilla gameplay without feeling intrusive or out-of-place.
  • Lightweight – The mod is modular and designed with compatibility in mind, though it cannot be removed from save games due to Paradox’s design.

This mod does not aim to add events or decisions. Clothes and costumes are also not covered by the mod, as it is defined per-culture in the base game.

New characters:

  • Madan Mohan Malaviya (BHT), born on Christmas Day, 1861, long-time president of the Indian National Congress
  • Katharine Lee Bates (USA), writer of "America the Beautiful", whose work popularized the character of Mrs. Claus
  • L. Frank Baum (USA), writer of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus
  • Jemmy Wood (GBR), one of the possible inspirations for Ebenezer Scrooge

Fixes:

  • Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian, Czech, Slovak, Slovene characters can now spawn in the Danubian State, if their homeland country doesn’t exist
  • Tidied up code for Rosa Luxemburg
  • Fixed last name for Dowager Cixi to Yehe Nara
  • Removed Bakht Khan and Georges Clemenceau as they are already in the base game
  • Corrected dates for Xu Shichang and Joseph Conrad
