Created early in the century to replace older models, the Glisenti used the somewhat common recoil mechanism that was so prevalent at the time. It fired a relatively weak cartridge due to the weakness of the mechanism itself. It served through WW1 and WW2, although by the 30s it had been officially replaced by newer models, remaining in some units that hadn’t gotten the modern guns yet
