清朝入关后，一支明朝后裔不愿受清朝统治，驾船下南洋，突遇风暴，漂泊到澳大利亚，取名大洋。1770年，英国发现大洋，与大洋人开展贸易，由此大洋后代了解到了新世界，并与清朝取得联络，假以南洋藩国朝贡之名，进入了清朝市场。自此，一段轰轰烈烈的大移民开始了。
