Description:

Roma was the third ship of the Littorio class and among the most powerful vessels fielded by the Regia Marina.
Launched on June 9 1940 and entered service in June 1942, her career was short: after the armistice, during the transfer of the fleet
to the island of La Maddalena on 9 September 1943, she was sunk by a group of Luftwaffe bombers armed with Ruhrstahl SD 1400 radio-guided bombs.
