Description:

Each Preserve Building reduces Food and Prouction of adjacent tiles by 1 regardless of Appeal. This is meant to make it so you consider positioning a bit more and also to complement my rework mod. The idea is to make it so the penalties grow as your civilization becomes more conscientious of protecting nature.

Because penalties is not something everyone likes, this mod was made as a standalone add-on to my Preserve Rework mod. As such it can also work with other Preserve reworks tho text might be weird.

Two new economic policies have also been added to remove these penalties in case you’d rather keep the food and production but at the cost of one slot:

  • Deer Parks (Feudalism): Removes Food Penalties from tiles adjacent to Preserve Buildings. Obsolete at Colonialism.
  • Extractivism (Colonialism): Removes Food and Production Penalties from tiles adjacent to Preserve Buildings.

Another way to prevent these bonuses is by building the Hanging Gardens wonder! Finally pushing it from bottom tier yay!
