Solomon
Solomon is a character that can create special rooms by using his pocket active, materials, and a little bit of charge. Using his Shamir, he can either teleport to these rooms or place them down on the map. The latter option requires 1 charge, while the former requires 3, and he can hold up to 6 charges by default. He can use his pocket active even when not fully charged.
For starters, he starts with +3 Luck, so he’s prone to finding more pickups. However, as a downside, he has an x0.9 damage multiplier. He also starts with his pocket active item, his Shamir, which is required to use his gimmick.
Through his pocket active item! Using it will bring up an interface where he can select a room to create (by pressing the fire left/right keys). To create that room, he must hold the use card/pill button. Once that room is created, he can either place it, or toggle teleporting to it (by pressing the shoot up/down keys). By holding the use button again, he will execute the selected option.
His birthright reduces the number of charges required to do certain actions. Teleporting to rooms and creating new ones now becomes free while placing them down only requires 2 charges now.
Not currently, while I might revisit this mod in the future to add unlocks and/or a tainted version of the character, but as of now this mod only adds Solomon himself, so give him a whirl! Who knows, maybe you’ll like him! If you don’t, that’s fine!
If you found a bug, there should be a discussion open where you can submit a bug report. Just outline what you were doing when the bug happened, maybe if you had the console open, paste any errors that appeared (if they did, hopefully, you got an error).
However, there are some bugs that I am (and you should be) aware of. Due to how the character works (and my current lack of motivation) I cannot fix any of these, but they SHOULD be very specific.
- When playing with Revelations, in a new run with Solomon you will be unable to use the alt-path trapdoor (this only applies to your first run with the character once the game is opened). To avoid this you can start a new run.
- The biggest bug of them all, Restock causes hell on earth in crafted shops. I have no idea why it happens, nor do I know how to fix it, but it is pretty funny.
