It is said that in the distant past, humanity created the Dolls to serve the rich and powerful. These Dolls would go on to help advance society as their use saw widespread adoption across various other sectors. However, it wouldn’t be long until conflict and war would inevitably break out over this technology. The Dolls were used in armed conflicts as T-Dolls and, eventually, both sides would end up burying the other with them. Or at least that is what the scholars and historians of our time tell. To say many were skeptical would be putting it lightly. Though that would soon change.
During the Tianboa period (around 730-750), an expedition sponsored by a so-called An Lushan of Fanyang would land on a deserted island whose existence had been lost to time. Records found within told that this island was once called ‘Beilan Island’. The leader of the expidition, a fellow named Shi Chaoyi, would find what is now known as ‘Relic Technology’ inside the depths of the island. There, he also found the very first T-Dolls which humanity had lost so long ago.
Using the newfound prowress of the Dolls, An Lushan would go on to conquer large swaths of the Tang Empire by instigating the Anshi Rebellion. This resulted in an arms race for the creation of more T-Dolls as the Tang Empire began urgent operations into uncovering and producing their own. They would eventually manage to do so and a stalemate would occur between both sides where neither could manage to inflict the final strike.
Time would pass and it wouldn’t be long until the T-Dolls began to proliferate outside of this conflict and into the hands of others. A new mercenary group led entirely by T-Dolls was founded by radicals who sought to establish a new world order; Rossartrism. They believed that humanity could not repeat the same mistakes it had done so before, that the world should unite under the banner of global cooperation lest it destroyed itself yet again. A noble cause, or at least it seemed so on the surface…
And now at this pivotal moment in time, a separate entity called Griffin–a ‘Security Contractor’–has asked if you would like to have your very own Doll.
