Grovyle
Grovyle, the time traveling thief from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers, joins Rivals Workshop!
Grovyle is a Pokemon and is the middle evolution of the Treecko line. However, one notable Grovyle appeared as a character in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness. In the games, Grovyle steals the Time Gears, which causes time to stand still in the areas that housed them. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky added five special episodes, one of which stars Grovyle.
Grovyle is a character with a strong advantage state offset by a weak disadvantage state, especially when recovering. Make sure to know when to stay on the offensive.
Neutral Special: Treasure Bag
Pull up a menu that lets you select one of four items.
Iron Thorn, a projectile that flies strait forward or diagonally if used in the air.
Geo Pebble, a slow projectile thrown in an arc that can be used for combos.
Blast Seed, a seed that, when eaten, creates a strong explosion in front of you.
Emera, throw the emera onto the ground to shatter it and leave shards that damage foes that walk on them.
Forward Special: Pounce Wand
Grovyle uses a Pounce Wand to launch himself toward either terrain or opponents. The wand’s projectile can be angled up or down while it’s out.
Up Special: Escape Orb
Using an Escape Orb, Grovyle sends himself upwards. The height of his assent can be chosen at the start of the move by holding up or down. Grovyle can’t defend himself after using this move, so be careful.
Down Special: Dig
Down Special let Grovyle dig into the ground, dealing damage and gaining a burst of speed when exiting. Grovyle can only dig on solid ground and will pass through platforms. Using this move in the air has Grovyle spin in the air and will dig upon landing.
