Alfa Romeo 155
The mod features one mid-size sedan 155 before restyling (in the body of the 167 series), produced by the Italian company Alfa Romeo. The model was introduced in January 1992 in Barcelona, and made its first public appearance in March 1992 at the Geneva Motor Show. The assembly was carried out in the comune of Pomigliano d’Arco, province of Naples. In total, almost 200 thousand copies of 155 were produced.

The 155 replaced the outdated 75 in the production program. Built on parent company Fiat’s widely used Tipo Tre front-engine front-wheel drive platform. The dimensions of the 155th exceeded the 75th, but retained stylistic continuity. The design of the car was developed by the studio I.DE.A Institute, under the supervision of Ercoli Spada. The body is wedge-shaped and has exceptional streamlining (frontal drag 0.29 at 144 km/h).
Unlike the 75th, the 155 received front-wheel drive. This had a positive effect on the price and equipment of the car, but many admirers of the brand and the automotive press were worried that the rejection of the rear-wheel drive layout would ultimately lead to a “blurring” of Alfa Romeo’s sporty image. The situation was corrected by the 155 Q4 modification, and over time, the car acquired two new versions – “Sport” and “Super Sport”. As a result, the GTA and V6 TI versions were very successful touring cars, winning several championships.
Production of the 155 was discontinued with the introduction of the model 156. The departure of the 155 marked the end of the wedge-shaped design era that had defined all Alfa Romeos since 1977, starting with the Giulietta Nuova.
