Sir Kibble
Sir Kibble – the recurring iron‑clad knight from the Kirby series – has arrived in Aether!
Sir Kibble is a lightweight fighter with average mobility. He makes use of his trademark Cutter Boomerang both as a projectile and a melee weapon, giving him a solid ranged game despite his small size.
Sir Kibble throws the iconic Cutter Boomerang, hitting foes on the way out and back. Catch it on the return to instantly reuse it; otherwise, it travels a bit past you and you’ll have to wait for it to despawn. You can hold Up or Down to change its trajectory slightly.
You can also hold Special to halt it in midair and charge it into a Hyper Boomerang for increased damage and knockback.
Borrowing cues from his larger brother Kibble Blade, Sir Kibble winds up and charges forward headfirst. Fast and strong on clean hit, but missing leaves you vulnerable. On hit, you can jump‑cancel halfway through. If you hit a wall, you’ll bounce backward.
If you touch a returning Cutter Boomerang during the charge, you’ll perform a hop to hit opponents above you!
Sir Kibble jumps while he slashes upward, then crashes down with the cutter blade, landing to create a shockwave that travels a good distance forward. Just like Kirby’s up special in Smash Bros.!
Hold Shield at the apex to cancel the descent and go into pratfall. You can also finish your jab combo with the special button (jab + jab + Special) to perform Final Cutter right after, just like the actual Final Cutter combo in Kirby games!
If you hit a returning Cutter Boomerang with this move, it’ll follow your ascent, descent, before finally being shot out a great distance forward once you land on the ground!
Another move taken from Kibble Blade, Sir Kibble spins rapidly with the cutter blade around him, hitting multiple times. Pretty great for racking up damage. Hold Special to get a slight vertical boost.
Touching a returning Cutter Boomerang during the spin gives you a big vertical boost, which is perfect for taking things to the air!
