Do you wish that states in Victoria III had more flavor; felt a little more unique? Well this could be the mod for you! I have taken on the task of populating Victoria III’s states with more traits that reflect existing capabilities in 1836 (for example, when adding harbors, I made certain to only include natural harbors or harbors that were mostly natural and were able to be constructed using 19th Century technology). I plan on expanding this to various categories of state traits until each state feels unique while maintaining as close of a commitment to accuracy as possible. In this vein, when state traits are added they are sorted into 4 levels of significance. This way, South America and Asia can have more natural harbors while London and New York maintain their significant advantages in production. In this way, these modifiers should not make one nation or state overpowered. Instead, they should provide historical flavor and nudge players in different directions when it comes to where to build what.

If you have any suggestions about particular state traits or feel like I missed something, please leave a comment! Additionally, if you think I put a trait into the wrong bracket, let me know why you think so! I’m in no means set on the current order.

Compatability:

Should be compatable with mods that do not edit states and traits.
