TFA-VOX || Player Callouts Redefined
A slightly different TFA-VOX, not much but honest work.
Wont work if this is installed, either choose his or mine.
TFA-VOX is a modular system for player callouts. Originally designed as an open-source reimplementation of Filzo’s Player Expression Mod, it’s become so much more.
Modular means this mod has its own internal addon system, allowing you to toggle or tweak any feature at any time.
Grab a compatible model, theres plenty on the workshop (you can also create one yourself using this template)[drive.google.com]
Once you have one, you bind +tfa_vox_callout_radial on a key to use the voice radial menu, some VOX packs allow you to use callouts or battle commands.
Pressing +Use on any NPC from any distance will make you "spot" it and it applies an damage mutliplier of 2 on it, making it easier to take down. This also applies to other players, but the multiplier is only 1.25.
When you reload, get injured, spot an enemy or when you receive healing, your player emits vocals, you can turn those off by writing tfa_vox_vgui_open in console and configure the settings to your liking.
(leave SQLite and Test Module off, unless you know what you are doing)
If you downloaded a VOX pack while a game is running, write tfa_vox_pack_reload in console, and it will take effect.
All Player Expression Scripts are backwards compatible, as long as you have the PES converter module enabled.
Anything with VOX in its title will include a VOX pack.
Changes & additions include:
-4 extra modules for mouth moving, underwater muffling, vehicles and interacting
-Added Alien & Boss categories for spotting & murder lines (for devs, see template)
-Added an hook that gets called when talking "OnTFAVOX" (for devs, returns player and snd)
-Half-Life 1 NPCs now trigger the coresponding spotting & murder lines like the rest
-Have specific lines trigger on certain damage types (currently has crush, radiation & sonic)
-Louder voices (you can hear your friends further away)
-Making noise will now alert VJ Base SNPCs
-You can now spot Nextbots (DrGBase, IV04, Sanic)
-Spotting an enemy NPC will alert nearby allied VJ NPCs
-Prettier callout menu based on player color
Some mods can cause the commands to not register, you might have an addon conflict, below are likely causes for this happening.
Simple Prop Protection
SmartSnap (unlikely)
Team Fortress 2 Bots (unlikely)
Wiremod (unlikely)
MelonWars: RTS
