Description:

I always liked the mechanic of animal people and some other strange species joining civilizations and showing up in your fortress, but I’ve noticed that there are a lot of sentient creatures that can’t do that. This mod adds the ability to speak and join civilizations to more than a dozen different creatures, and it also adds intelligence to a few humanoid(ish) creatures.

Newly Civilizable Creatures: Mountain Gnomes, Dark Gnomes, Ogres, Blind Cave Ogres, Molemarians, Gremlins, Trolls, Satyrs, Foul Blendecs, Blizzard Men, Harpys, Troglodytes, Fire Imps, Nightwings, and Maneras.

More Personality: In vanilla Dwarf Fortress, the civilized creatures (Dwarves, Humans, Elves, and Goblins) have unique mannerisms, personality modifiers, and sometimes even changes to their stats. For example, dwarves are stronger and tougher than most creatures, but also somewhat less agile. This mod adds such modifiers to every creature it grants intelligence, allowing them to be a bit more distinct and occasionally impactful.

Strange Secrets: Adds a number of unusual new secrets for people to discover in place of necromancy.
Living Gods: Allows semimegabeasts to take over human civs by pretending to be gods.
Bit more Diversity: Builds on BoD by giving some of those creatures civilizations of their own.
Arcane Metals: Adds a number of magical metals with unique applications for you to mine, forge, and trade.
