Description:

This mod adds a new (and fairly rare) secondary Amalgamation specialization that focuses on the lighter primary firearms, as well as the gauntlet’s flame capabilities.

What is it?

After an update to the Alpha115’s Rocketeer class added a brand new second class (the Burner), a matching spec was just a matter of time. A hybrid specialization with perks for both the gauntlet side of things and general gunplay, any class that takes on the Burner’s abilities will see a solid boost in performance across the board.

How does it play?

Owing to the Burner’s unique starting perk, specific lighter firearms (bullpups, rifles and vektor rifles) see an immediate upgrade in damage output, being more likely to land critical hits. The well-equipped Burner also gains a mobility boost, letting them close in on enemies for a quick tackle or blitz and then return to a safe distance from which to rain down their face-melting gunplay abilities.

On the fire side of things, a set of suitably-spicy abilities bolsters the gauntlet flamethrower’s damage and utility, as well as rounding out the character’s general defenses.

How balanced is it?

Probably pretty powerful, especially when paired with a rifle primary. This will, however, vary depending on which of the original class’s perks are rolled — there’s a lot of options!

The spec’s general rarity and delayed growths (compared to the Rocketeer spec) should help tame it down a bit, but let me know if anything’s too silly.
