FEATURES

* It supports all planes with a working tail hook including:
vanilla F/A18, SOG Phantom F4, Firewill’s F18 / F14 / F35* / John Spartan & Saul’s F/A18
* It supports Autopilot landings for AI and for the Player
* An automated launch, recovery and taxi system for player and AI piloted planes
* AI planes take off and land at a configurable loop time interval – great for ambience
* An automated plane parking and lane rotation system on landing
* Carrier Air Traffic Control and Go Around system with human voice feedback
* Automated plane delivery system by AI pilots to the deck (plane respawn optional)
* Animated deck crew Launch process on all four lanes
* Automated Deflectors
* Automated clearance of destroyed planes and debris on deck
* Automated rescue recovery boat system for player in the sea <1km from carrier
* Automated carrier defense system (optional)
* The deck crew have glowing vests for deck visibility at night
* Ambient carrier sound effects and realistic voice actors for the deck PA system
* Voice actors for Take off, Landing, Go Around, boat rescue etc.
* All deck aircrafts & defense systems send / receive target / positional data via Datalink
* There are useful hints to help you launch and land
* Player Respawn position near the island (when MP version is released)

LATEST FEATURES

* Added full ZEUS support for placing planes. ZEUS is enabled by default in the script header for the player called ‘Admiral’. When using Zeus on the Carrier all deck yellow placement markers will be visible to help with plane placement. They are auto hidden once Zeus closes or the game starts.

* The ROS Carrier Deck system now supports both SP and MP (listen and dedicated servers)
* Added steam for the four catapults (you can choose between EMALS (no steam) or steam on all catapult lanes
* Added SAR helicopter support (can be disabled in main script).
Requires either the RHSUSAF or Modern Utility helicopters mod loaded.

* Added a custom SAR skin for the RHS UH1 helicopter. The SAR door crew can be either frogmen or medics see the ROS_Freedom_Main.sqf script header options.

* Added a wet deck effect to the carrier – so when it rains it looks wet. The Carrier deck will also dry out once the rain stops.This feature can be toggled on or off in the ROS_Freedom_Main.sqf file header options. It is clientside.

Other changes/Improvements in the new version

Shifted the nose wheel of planes closer to the catapult attach pos. Cat launch is still reliable.
Moved some deck plane parking positions to improve deck spacing, plane taxing accuracy and reliability.
Fixed smoke direction on lanes relative to carrier orientation
Changed SAR helicopter doormen animation
Reduced time for SAR heli to get to player in sea and recover unit
Carrier can now start with an empty deck – planes will be spawned in over time
Fixed number of planes to spawn issue
Increased interleave time for stacked incoming planes

How to use

You can play the demo mission (Scenario) in SP or MP.

If you want to use it in you mission you’ll need to have some basic Eden and scripting skills to incorporate it. Message me if you get stuck.

Current know minor issue which is being worked on

There is a strange alignment or positional bug that affects AI launching from cat2 – the plane still launches it just doesn’t halt at the cat2 position. I think something has possibly changed in the USS Freedom model – since the takeoff functions are the same for each cat lane. As a temp work around for AI takeoff, I’ve disabled them taking off from lane two – they just use lane 1 twice now. Will update if I find the cause of the issue.
