DLC Requirements: This mod requires Rise & Fall, Gathering Storm and the New Frontier Pass’ Byzantium & Gaul DLC to use.

Introduces Flavius Belisarius, as a new leader for the Byzantine Empire, to Civilization VI.

Flavius Belisarius is fully animated in the diplomacy screens. He is released as part of the Modder Pass, a supplementary release to Firaxis’ official Great Commanders Leader Pass that was recently released.

Opportuna Res Militaris
When attacking, Byzantine units receive +6 Combat Strength against other civilizations’ Unique Units. In addition, for 10 turns after declaring a Surprise War, your units receive +4 Combat Strength.

Pillaging a Farm, Quarry, Pasture, Plantation or Camp grants a bonus yield of Gold, in addition to the base Pillaging yield.

All units cost an additional +1 Gold in maintenance.

Hippotoxotes
Belisarius’ unique ranged Light Cavalry unit. Has faster base Movement than other Light Cavalry units. Unlocked with the Horseback Riding technology and the Military Tradition civic.

Kataphraktos
Belisarius’ unique Heavy Cavalry unit, replacing the Knight. Earns experience 40% faster. Unlocked after Stirrups.

This mod includes code to make it compatible with Tomatekh’s Historical Religions.

This should be compatible with most other popular mods, including UI mods, as well as any mods that add new units or features in bulk to the game. Please report specific incompatibilities you might notice in the comments section, citing the mod with which you believe this to be incompatible.
