Rattle some bones, show who’s top of the pecking order and knock your foes dead with this bird brain. Don’t let the spectral fire in his kit fool you he comes from the earth elemental tribe. Said spectral fire has given this flightless bird the ability to fly among other devastating abilities.

Moveset Summary:

Neutral Special: Homeward Bone
Dreadbeak launches a floating bone from his ribcage leaving it stationary. Hitting the nspecial again causes the bone to break into three and fly towards the direction that Dreadbeak is facing and slowly chases the enemy.

Side Special: Cross Fire
Dreadbeak separates and cloaks himself in spectral fire and launches his flaming body parts forward.

Side Special (Air): Whirly Bird
Dreadbeak cannot activate crossfire in the air so he does a tornado kick instead. A multihit attack mix-up tool and a decent alternative recovery tool.

Down Special: Exploding Vengeance
Dreadbeak falls to pieces and his eyes begin to flash and emit a sound. After a while or hitting the down special again causes him to explode but be careful missing this move leaves him open.

Up Special: Midway Flight
Dreadbeak summons spectral fire around his wings and begins to fly in a rather familiar pose. Repeatedly hitting the jump button allows you to keep flying (up to six times) If you time your flaps and fly into an opponent it does do damage. This is a direct reference to the arcade game, joust.

Lore:

Sir Aviarus was one of the four secret heroes who had a huge part in driving away the darkness many years ago. He and his comrades gave up their lives doing so but accepted their fate knowing that the world would be saved.

Until it wasn’t.

The abyss reared its ugly head once more and used its dark powers to revive the remnants of Aviarus, His skeleton being the only one well preserved he was now a soldier of darkness, But not unwillingly. Upon discovering that the sacrifice he and his friends made amounted to nothing he swore loyalty to protect the abyss from those who wish to stop it.

Those who explored the ruins and encountered this monster only know him by Dreadbeak.
