Vlad and the Empire
- The Popularity meter system: Helps and wants you to fight foul factions instead of Empire factions.
- Force vassalization: From Slaanesh’s Seductive influence system. Gives you another way of conquering the Empire
- Runefang and Imperial troops: Gained when you or your vassal gains control of the capital of an empire state. Requires 40 or more popularity.
This is one of my another ‘Meter for a faction without meter’ series. In this mode, Vlad has a popularity meter, which is gained and lost at the following conditions.
Gain
- Battle against the Foul: +X
- You reinstated the elector count. This can be only done in the capital city of an imperial state when the elector count is already dead. That reinstated elector count will be your vassal. : +5
- Somehow elector count revived itself. This also applies even if you reinstated the elector count: +5 (So reinstating gives +10 in total)
Loss
- Battle against the Empire. Dwarf, Bretonnia, and Cathay do not count only Empire: -X
- Assassinate against ANY. Because your chivalry goes down: -5
- Elector Count gets eliminated. Even if you didn’t do anything, they’ll blame you for this. ‘This happened because you brought Undead here!’: -5
- Declare war against the Empire faction. Declared by does not count: -10
Now, even if you have a new reinstatement tool, incorporating an empire without fighting is still hard. So, there is another tool for you: Vampiric Influence. aka Slaanesh’s seductive influence.
It’s basically the same with Slaanesh with only the corruption type changed. For this, I’ve also implemented the Vampire Coven system for Vlad. You can install it via settlement occupation option, or you’ll gain one by a 30% chance if any of your agents succeed an action against the settlement
When your popularity is over 40, you’ll receive relevant runefang and imperial troops if you or your vassal controls the Imperial state capital. You’ll see the ending when your popularity reaches 100 and collects all runefangs.
They’ll gain various bonuses through the popularity system.
Thanks ‘@Agandaur’ and ‘@All is Dust’ for providing me with the foreign slot listener code. I couldn’t have implemented it without your guys’ help.

Q. Shouldn’t there be a popularity factor associated with settlement occupation and/or captive option?
A. I tried but there were two problems.
1. If the resulting popularity is minus, (ex: You lose popularity when you execute Empire troops) it is considered a cost, and you can’t click the button when the current resource you have is zero. I didn’t want that.
2. Initially, I added popularity gain on the release. However, sacking the city is also considered a ‘release’ and gave the player lots of popularity. I didn’t want that and removed the factor.
Q. Is Ai influenced by this?
A. In my guess, only the basic effect (+2 diplomatic relation with Empire and -20 raise dead cost) will affect them most of the time. So I would turn the mod off when you’re not playing as Vlad.
Q. Seductive Influence had a small icon on the diplomacy panel and sorting function. But I don’t see it in this mod, Where is it?
A. Sorry I failed to implement it.
Q. Where is the summon the elector counts button? How could you neglect vanilla’s final reward?
A. It was overlapping with too many effects I created and I was outta appropriate UIs to use.
Q. Is it compatible with SFO?
A. I haven’t played it, but according to @KirbytheWizard101, it is. Thanks for the confirmation @KirbytheWizard101.
Q. Can I play as Isabela to use this feature?
A. As the script only looks at the faction, yes. However, there won’t be any text changes. (Ex: Emperor->Empress)
Q. Does it support multiplayer?
A. I get rid of most of the cm:get_local_faction things besides one for the UI, but I have no way to test it. According to "Doppelschteppen (ダッブステ", this mod isn’t working in MP.
