Cement tank wagon
Before the invention of specialized wagons, cement was transported in covered wagons, of which up to 2% of the cement spilled out on the way. Therefore, on the instructions of the Ministry of Heavy Engineering of the USSR, the Zhdanov Plant developed and began producing in 1961 tanks 15-1405 for the transportation of cement and other pulverized cargo, which allowed to reduce losses and the cost of transportation. Modifications of these wagons have been used up to the present time.
