Description:

The Empress herself joins the adventure!

With over one hundred hand-made animations, as well as custom code and functionality, The Empress has been completely transformed into its own unique playable character.

After beating the Finale of Nyakuza Metro, The Empress will appear in the spaceship, by the Metro level select. Swap to her by talking to them.
Alternatively, you may swap at any time using the mod config menu, or the PlayerSwap mod.

Feel like Empress is too slow? Check the Configure menu for an option to speed her up!

Special Thanks to the following users who made this possible:
ArgleBargle – PlayerSwap and Inventory code base
Shararamosh – Several custom code functions, bug fixes, and code optimization.
UnDrew – Overall code help and guidance
SamiSha – Inventory Code help, and Keypress code.
Joshua21 – Claw and Bazooka Badge icons.
Bon – Provided preview images and Bug Testing.
Spop – Bug Testing

Note: This will likely be the last non-bugfix update until Phase 2, which will be fairly sizeable. I’ve got some other things I need to deal with first though, so work on Phase 2 won’t begin immediately.
I’ll be looking for additional art help for Phase 2 as well (3D Models, Textures, 2D Icons).

Some bugs you may encounter that fixes haven’t been found for yet:

– Triggers don’t work properly when The Empress is walking on stairs. This realistically only occurs in Vanessa’s Mansion and Arctic Cruise. Crawl or ride your scooter when entering the trigger area to fix this.

– The first door to Train Rush doesn’t detect the player unless they’re crawling. This is a map bug, unfortunately.

– Some Online Party Empress animations are buggy, namely the Crawl and Scooter animations. Unfortunately I can’t directly edit the Online Party code so this can’t be reasonably fixed.
