Merrick’s Napoleon III (France)
Adds Napoleon III as a leader for France. Nephew to Napoleon Bonaparte, he was elected the First President of France before seizing power and founding the Second Empire. Under his rule France underwent various social reform, granting new rights, and undertook great public works.
He commissioned a grand reconstruction of Paris by the prefect of the Seine, Baron Georges-Eugene Haussmann. While criticised for being over-extravagant at the time, it remains as the romantic image of Paris that we all know today.
Haussmann’s Renovation
- +30% Production towards Districts in cities with an Established Governor at Level 2 or greater.
- Neighborhoods yield +2 Culture from adjacent Chateau improvements and +1 Culture from adjacent City Park improvements.
- Can construct City Parks in any city after Urbanization.
Romantic Revolutionary
- Favors Civilizations with the same government type as him, and hates those of a different government type. Likes Civilizations with happy citizens and high tourism, dislikes Civilizations that neglect their amenities and tourism.
