No more flash bang when opening map. Dark mode enthusiasts rejoice! Updated for mod compatibility!
7/2/24 – Dhert bug fix – credit to dhert (legend) for actually pointing out the specifics of the issue, I don’t play multiplayer so I had a hard time understanding the issue. It only took a year to read the bug report… But at least it’s before build 42, I said I wasnt coming back til then, but who knows if I will live that long (jk ily TIS).
2 changes:
– Prev: if more than 1 player, lock movement for all players -> Now: doesnt block movement
the reason it was like this originally is because I am overloading a base game function and copied all of the functionality so that if my function was called instead of the main function it would do everything it’s supposed to. As a modder it can be difficult to know all of those interactions so it’s best to just leave it alone most of the time, except this time part of those actions included locking movement for all but 1 players. I removed that specific part, it should be fine without it. Also this was my first mod, made in an hour on a whim, and I expected exactly 3 people to use it, so it wasnt exactly thoroughly vetted originally.
– Prev: first time you opened map you still get flash banged and mini map starts off wrong. -> Now: map is properly initialized at game start
i actually made this change already but it precipitated the bug above in single player so I removed it. Now it’s safe to initialize at game start and it wont freeze everyone.
will watch this in the coming days. If you have any issues, please post specifics in the bug reports discussion. It’s very difficult to know if a problem is on my end or yours without a good amount of details about the issue you’re having. I’ll look into all reports, but I can only be certain to fix the issues where you are able to confirm that it occurs with no other mods enabled or if you can confirm the specific mod causing the conflict.
