UnificationWars(30k)Under-Development
Under development-Fight to unify Terra and then the Sol system as the Emperor of Mankind, or search for humanity’s lost technologic heritage as the Mechanicum of Mars in this simulation of the Unification Wars of the 30th millennium.
So I decided to get the ball rolling on this mod concept, as myself and many others feel that TI has a great deal of potential for this kind of setting. It has intrigue, nation building and conquest, void combat, exploration of the unknown, and an alien menace looming in the dark. The current build of the mod is more of a proof of concept for several mechanics, such as renaming Earth to Terra, habs located on Terra, renaming and reshaping national polities, new factions and ideologies, and new hab modules. There are still many blockers for mechanics I wish to pursue, such as transferring between a region and habs on the same planet, and the general mechanic of setting up and triggering narrative events. I could use help in several areas:
- Ship and Hab Modules – Interesting ancient modules from both the the Dark Age of Technology and Xenos sources
- Narrative Events – Stories for event that occur in the Unification Wars Era
- Assets– Map region boundaries, icons, models, sounds – most things with assetbundles
- Councilors– Traits, types, appearances, levelling paths, etc.
- Coding – Certain mechanics such as the archeotech mission require a lot it, and can be made more robust against crashes
- Lore Hunting – Making content lore-friendly but not necessarily lore accurate, due to the nature of both the game and the 40k universe
I expect this mod to both break and be broken by the main game, as it is still in early access, so expect bugs and issues until things stabilize. Compatibility
This is an overhaul mod that modifies most everything about Terra Invicta. Due to the current way that merging .json files work, most files will merge and overwrite, but not remove, vanilla files and entries. So if you are using any other mods that rely on vanilla entries, those will most likely not work.
Installation Instructions
The mod requires BepInEx and Monomod to function.
- Download BepInEx 5.1 x64(or x86) from here:
https://github.com/BepInEx/BepInEx/releases/tag/v5.1 - Unzip the files into your Terra Invicta game directory.
- Run Terra Invicta. This is required to generate a folder named config inside the BepInEx folder in the Terra Invicta game directory.
- Download MonoModLoader 1.0 from: https://github.com/BepInEx/BepInEx.MonoMod.Loader/releases/tag/v1.0.0.0
- Unzip the files into your Terra Invicta game directory, merging with the existing BepInEx folder.
- Find the "BepInEx" folder in the UnificationWars mod folder and copy it into your Terra Invicta game directory, merging with the existing BepInEx folder.
Personal Note:
This is my second published TI mod. Let me know in the discussion section about improvements, bugs, etc. and I will try to address your concerns. This mod was created mostly for my own enjoyment of TI and I would like to share it with you. Improving it would help us both.
