Valsgarde’s chosen: Nordic Reskin

In 1926, the small farm of Valsgarde located near Uppsala, Sweden, was excavated by archeologists. There they found several small, long ditches in the ground indicating boat graves of the same kind that was found in Vendel not far away. The archeologists found several graves totalling over 80 warriors that had been buried there. About 60 were simple fire grives, whereas the youngest graves were Christian casket burials. In these graves was found the well preserved clothing, armours, and weapons of the soldiers that had been buried there.

This mod is a nordic reskin with inspiration from finds made in the Valsgarde and Vendel excavations. The armors, clothing and shields are imported from Thrones of Britannia and are good representation of the Vendel/period armour. I have made sure to add a lot of variation to give a unique feeling of commanding real life dark age Scandinavians and Vikings. With this mod you will get a lot of variation in color, patterns, and equipments. All equipment in this mod ranges from early dark age to Vendel period.Therefore the mod is not perfectly historical with the 400s, but I make no claim of being 100% historical.

This mod reskins the following factions: Jutes, Geats, Danes, and Saxons. I have recolored the factions to be more realistic with more darker, grey and brown colors. The primary colors for the factions are following:

All is included in this mod: Land units, naval units, officers, standardbearers, generals, etc. You don’t need any other mod for the Nordic factions with this. Since it is a vanilla reskin it should be compatible with any mod that doesn’t alter the nordic faction units.
