Description:

An unofficial EK2 Submod.

Creates new decisions associated with the Amulet of Kings. New decisions/events to be added as the submod expands.

Current Features:

Acquiring the Amulet:
– Introduction of a new event chain for characters who own the province of Sancre Tor, allowing players to search for the legendary Amulet of Kings.
– Player decisions during the event sequence affect their chances of successfully obtaining the Amulet.
– Higher chances of success in finding the Amulet when characters have specific skill sets, such as learning, intrigue, and prowess.
– Amulet of Kings now displays as jewelry when equipped (dragonborn only, ayleid equivalent in future update)

Becoming Dragonborn:
– Characters of Cyrodillic cultural groups can attempt to try on the amulet to see if they are dragonborn.
– Characters of Sosildor / Cyrodill dynasties will be dragonborn by default, other characters have an extremely slim chance of being dragonborn.
– All siblings and children / grandchildren / nieces / nephews will be given a hidden flag that makes them dragonborn if they inherit the Amulet. (NOTE: due to how the game handles dead characters, the current version of this mod is not able to pass the flag THROUGH a deceased character to their descendants).
– Dragonborn trait is no longer 100% inheritable and has instead been replaced with a character flag that gets passed down from the original Dragonborn to their descendants. Upon succession, a coronation event will trigger that checks if the character inheriting AOK is truly Dragonborn.
– Characters can lose the favor of Akatosh if their level of devotion falls to ‘sinner.’ The dragonborn trait doesn’t get removed, but the character loses the ability to pass down the favor of Akatosh to their descendants. Prior to being coronated, if a character falls to ‘sinner’ devotion, their coronation will fail and they will not be declared dragonborn.

Ayleid Amulet Interactions:
– Option for Ayleid culture characters (includes all Ayleid cultural groups) who possess the Amulet of Kings, enabling them to uncover the artifact’s hidden powers and secrets.
– The Ayleid decision tree is partially complete, currently offering only the "corrupt the amulet" option (destroy the amulet option tree is not yet complete). Corruption option allows Amulet of Kings to be equipped in the regalia slot, providing a significant boost to its on-equip effects.
– Different flavor texts for Aedra or Daedra worshipping Ayleids (corrupt the amulet vs. purify the amulet; the end result is mostly the same)
– Corrupted / purified amulet cannot be equipped without being descended from the ayleid dynasty that modified the amulet

Future Updates Planned:

– Ability to send courtiers to retrieve the amulet instead of the player character.
– Add the options for a Ayleid "destroy the amulet" storyline as an alternative to corrupting the Amulet.
– Add the option for characters who failed the initial Dragonborn test to begin a quest to gain the blessing of Akatosh and become Dragonborn.

Common Questions:

– Save game compatible as only adds decisions / new events
