Shieldbearers, ho! This mod is an overhaul to Lords and Thanes as well as containing changes to other core aspects of the dwarf roster. Note: This mod is absorbing the Ranger’s Revamp mod.

Summary

Lord and Thane Overhaul

  • New Weapon Variants – Great Axe, Crossbow, and Pistol
  • Mounts – Shieldbearers (Lords) and Oath Stones (Lords and Thanes)
  • Rename – Lords to Dwarf Lords
  • New Visuals – More beard colors and helmet options
  • Recruitment – Thanes recruitment and cap increased now available in Tier 2 Barracks to match other factions

Belegar Changes

  • Unique Mount – Runic Oath Stone
  • Two New Abilities – Summon ghostly Dwarf Warriors and Ironbreakers
  • Reworked skill focus towards Miners, Ironbreakers, and Irondrakes rather than Rangers and Bolt Throwers
  • Mighty Oath Stone changed to only be available while mounted
  • Vanilla Bug Fix: Belegar’s Ghost Engineer can now properly attain the Zhufbar 42-Pounders skill without specifically needing points in Triangulation.

General Changes

  • Visual Overhaul – New beard variations for most of the dwarf roster (Engineers and Runelords/smiths to come later)
  • Reskin – Thorgrim’s throne bearers now resemble hammerers.
  • Reskin – Removed red dots from ghost dwarf heroes.
  • Reskin – Fixed one Longbeard’s torso model’s gem texture issue
  • New RoR – Ancestor Spirits (Longbeards) (this unit is available earlier to Belegar)
  • Rename – Norgriling’s Ironbreakers to Axes of Norr
  • Traits – Reworked and additional unique dwarf Ancestral Blood traits
  • Building – Moved Hall of Oaths to be a tier 4 barracks building and renamed it to Warriors’ Guild Hall
  • Recruitment – Dwarf Warriors recruitable via Tier 1 settlement chain, Bolt Throwers via Tier 2 settlement chain, Quarrellers via Tier 1 barracks chain, Hammerers & Ironbreakers via Tier 4 barracks chain
  • Building – Tier 1 Ranger Outpost now available to all dwarf factions
  • Balance – Slight buff to offense of Dwarf Warriors (Great Weapons) and Longbeards (Great Weapons)
  • Balance – Added Charge Defense vs Large to Dwarf Warriors (Great Weapons), Quarrellers, and Thunderers
  • Balance – Small range buff to Bolt Throwers
  • Balance – All Rangers variants and RoRs gain 360° Firing Arc, Fire Whilst Moving, looser spacing, shorter range, and adjusted costs
  • Bugman’s Rangers converted to an RoR unit.

Future Plans
  • Reworks to Thorgrim’s and Grombrindal’s personal and campaign mechanics
  • More Campaign Changes!
  • Tweak unit stats/cost based on user feedback. The goal is to be balanced around vanilla TW:WHIII.
