This mod is a collection of changes for those seeking a more authentic and viable ‘Laissez-Faire’, ‘Jeffersonian’ and ‘minimal-state’ approach compared to what the vanilla version offers.
– Laissez-Faire becomes more ‘Laissez-Faire’.
– Includes a decision for players to fine-tune their income, consumption, and dividend tax rates separately.
– Adds a new welfare law, namely the Principle of Subsidiarity, to reflect the community-level autonomy the USA demonstrated in the 19th century.
– Improves the private health and consumption-tax laws to better fit the ‘laissez-faire’ ethos.
– Low/high tax rates now impact various aspects of your country.
– Low government wages now narrow your government’s capabilities instead of lowering your prestige, making low tax rate and low government wage gameplay smoother and more plausible. High government wages grant more authority at the cost of corruption.
– Bureaucracy deficit now leaves tax uncollected instead of generating tax waste.
This mod modifies some laws and is therefore not compatible with other mods that also modify these laws.
