Description:

Very simple. Costumes are no longer applied to characters.
Good for if you want to keep the character looking nice, especially if it’s a cool looking modded character.

(if a costume seems to be sticking around just stop moving and firing for a sec and it should go away)

By default you can still get starting item, flight item and transformation costumes, you can also set if the mod only works on modded characters.

(The settings can be changed by using the Mod Config Menu mod)

This mod may remove the default costumes of modded characters, if you made a modded character you can fix this by adding a simple function to a playerinit or gamestart callback (e.g. if NoCostumesMod then addCostumeToIgnoreList("gfx/characters/costume.anm2") end), otherwise costumes can be added to the ignore list by using a console command (e.g. addcostumetoignorelist gfx/characters/costume.anm2 ) or by editing the save file, see the discussion below for more info.

If you want to add specific items to the ignore list that aren’t covered by default you can open the lua file and there is a list of item IDs right at the top you can edit.

If you want to be able to have different settings for each character try Character Costume Protector by Sanio.

This is included in POTATO PACK 2.
