What is it?

Back again with my first (Medium sized) mod! Have you been slightly disappointed with how generic and boring the heroes feel compared to previous titles? If you want to make a mage, why do you run out of mage-like traits to choose every other level? If I wanted to create a tank or powerful summoner, why are these options just not possible? (Because the dev’s don’t have time to perfect everything obviously we love you dev’s <3)

With this mod your heroes will feel like a breath of fresh air as your trait list almost triples within category selections, and almost doubles overall! This adds a total of 37 new traits to pick from, 14 of them being unique capstones that have limited selection!

Capstones Examples

Awakened Lightning Evoker –
Prerequisite: Lightning Evoker
Ability: The hero casts a chain lightning with unlimited starting range, after hitting its primary target it can jump upwards of 4 hexes to another target. This can happen five times. Each hit has a high chance of sundering and electrifying the targets hit.
Cost: 0 – Every 3 turns.

Wild Summoner –
Prerequisite: Adept Summoner
Effect: At combat start, the hero summons three random T1 animals randomly on the battlefield.

Quen’Lathari –
Prerequisite: Archery V
Effect: the hero’s range strikes deal 30% increased damage while the hero is within 3 hexes or less of the target.

Brittle Regeneration –
Prerequisite: Defense V
Effect: The hero loses 4 Defense and 15% Evasion and gains 18 regeneration in combat.

Future updates

More unique styled magic styles like Awakened Blight Casters, a slew of new traits to let your heroes become even more potent generals buffing and supporting your army.

What it’s not: This does not give heroes the same overpowered feeling that they had in Age of Wonders 3 at the highest level. This is a passion project, not a job. I will do my best to keep it updated and working but I won’t promise any compatibility patches for big overhaul mods. (Granted this shouldn’t have compatibility issues with most things due to it not adjusting *any* base files.

Author’s Note

Due to the nature of how much there is in this mod, it’s not fully playtested. I have made sure each trait is able to be picked and from my own personal testing it seems like each trait does work as intended, but if anyone finds problems please let me know!
