Description:

A chunky mod that adds

200+

new monuments to the game, with carefully selected and edited high-quality images, cleaned up and passed through my custom Photoshop filters in order to match Tinto’s neat artstyle. I also organized the files as neatly as possible so you can easily find and modify any monuments you find disagreeable. No vanilla files were altered.

This project started off purely as a vanilla add-on, but over time I decided to incorporate Europa Expanded features into it; therefore this is a EE submod and requires the main mod for full functionality. However, I have thoroughly tested it without Europa Expanded and it seems to work mostly fine, with the exception of some localization errors and missing features for a handful of my new monuments. I’d recommend trying it even if you’re not fond of Europa Expanded for some weird reason.

Q: This or that monument is over/underpowered!
A: No worries, I’m open to changing almost anything – especially if you provide an argument as to why it should be changed. Things like historical usage, game balance etc. will all be taken into consideration. I plan to actively develop this mod and listen to feedback as much as possible. Please leave your thoughts and recommendations in the comments!

Q: Have you changed the vanilla monuments at all?
A: I added descriptions to all of them, and altered some names to be more historically accurate. None of the vanilla files have been altered, therefore all stats for vanilla monuments will remain the same. Any mod that overhauls vanilla monuments should be fully compatible with my own.

Q: Do you have a general design philosophy for your monuments?
A: I mostly follow Tinto’s design philosophy, only occasionally straying from it for cool, never before seen effects that you wouldn’t find in the vanilla game. I believe in playing to the game’s strengths instead of substituting their design goals with my own. You won’t find any egregious monuments in this mod, as I balanced them around existing monuments. Bangkok Palace is still the strongest monument in the game, even with my 200 newly added monuments present.

Q: Do you use AI art?
A: No, and I never will. All my monuments are hand-crafted out of real images or paintings. If I have to rely on AI "art", I’d rather not add the monument at all.

Q: Can I add you on Steam?
A: Sure!
