Hydro power plant
The mod includes two buildings: a small hydroelectric power station and a step-down transformer for it. For the operation of station, it is only necessary to install it on the shore of a water. For a more natural appearance, it should be a river with a narrow channel or a closed dam. In addition, the shorter section of the building should be located on the island (or opposite bank). The correct position can be seen in the photographs. All characteristics are shown in the screenshots.
The municipal power plant in Pisek is the oldest operating hydroelectric power plant in the Czech Republic. It was created in the restored building of the Podskal water mill on the Otava River. On June 23, 1887, at about ten o’clock in the evening, a demonstration by Frantisek Kryzhik of lighting the city center with arc lamps took place, which was a resounding success among local residents. So the city of Pisek became the first city in the Czech Republic with permanent public electric lighting. On August 31, 1888, the hydroelectric power station was officially put into operation, after almost a year of test run. Since 1901, two Francis turbines manufactured by the Carlin company JC Bernard have been operating in it. The building itself and the electric machines are protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. Currently, the building is operated for its intended purpose, it also houses a museum of lighting technology and electric motors.
