[LF] Star Kestrel

Get moving fast and early on an affordable budget with the Star Kestrel CV shuttle! Spawning in at level 10 as a micro starter CV, the Star Kestrel best serves as a shuttle to quickly link up with friends, or as disposable life raft kept in factory. The Star Kestrel does feature a number of upgrade options, as a well as a respectable spawn in device suite to serve the player until moving on to a proper CV.

Star Kestrel spawns at Level 10 for Reforged Eden and Vanilla, at a cost of 668 Neo (RE) and 480 (Vanilla), with some defense, large constructor, and a number of other devices. Star Kestrel can house placement for warp drive, and a compact shield for RE players, which will see early start players off in a hurry!

Although not having a hangar, the top of the ship can be utilized for HV/SV parking. For HV’s, you can run up the nose of the ship (see tutorial video)

Star Kestrel spawns in with two minigun turrets, and two sentry turrets, and can add two mounted weapons / drills, as well as an additional sentry at the front bottom of the ship

Features an encasement of steel, though pilots should choose flight over fight, especially against CVs, as some of the steel layers are thin. Reforged Eden players can fare better, if the compartment is utilized to place 2 cap/1 recharge shield extender configuration. This will supplement the Compact Shield up to 10k shields.

Forward and reverse thrusts can be upgraded to 2×1 or 3×1 thrusters. Lift thrust can be upgraded to 4x mediums. Dorsal (down) thrust has 2 small thrusters, but can be doubled to 4 with use of provisioned placement.

Comes with Wifi, detector, fridge, large constructor, armor locker, oxygen dispenser, shower, bed for single player, food processor, Bio chamber, and a drone hatch set to main ship menu.

Star Kestrel has a modest storage capacity coming in at 16k ammo, and 72k container. The 72k cargo box can be swapped with a harvester to convert the ship to a supplemental CV miner.
