RES GESTAE DIVI AUGUSTI
Hello, friends!
UPDATE: 30.10.21. This mod is intended for the Emperor Augustus campaign. I decided to replace the vanilla legionnaires of the Marian era by the legionnaires of the Augustus era. Changes in the armament and equipment of the Roman legionaries took place approximately every 20 years. Therefore, the legionnaires of the 30s BC. looked different from the legionnaires of the 100s BC. I tried to implement these changes in this mod. The legionnaires of Augustus have different helmets, shields, hamata and singullum belt. In my opinion, such changes will make this DLS unique, distinctive and historically accurate.
I created new Roman legionnaires, veterans, and the first cohort. In the era of Augustus, there was no longer any legionary cavalry, therefore, I replaced it by mercenary Gallic cavalry. This is not just a reskin, but new units with new skills and stats.
Imperator Octavian also developed the navy and built flotillas. So, I decided to add a new naval unit.
The cohorts of legionnaires, veterans, first cohorts, gallic cavalry and naval units will be replaced by imperial cohorts after learning the technology "Professional Army". They will also be new units, not vanilla ones.
The civil war required huge human resources and the triumvirs called up volunteers and mercenaries from the controlled territories to serve. So, to display these processes, I decided to make up for the lack of auxiliary troops in the EA campaign. Now every Roman faction can hire its own regional auxiliary infantry. These units are not included in the AOR system. After learning the "professional army" technology, all auxiliary troops will be replaced by imperial auxiliary cohors with standard uniforms and weapons.

The names of the cohorts are historically accurate. The auxiliary units can be recruited from auxiliary barracks 2-4 level
