Actual Natural Borders of France
Annoyed by how the Natural Borders event doesn’t actually reach the Rhine inside the Netherlands?
This mod edits improves the provinces around the Rhine so that you can form the actual Natural Borders of France. Also changes the event to match!
In further detail – the states of Gelre and Holland have had some provinces exchanged, and the provinces around the Rhine have been ever so slightly edited so that they properly terminate at the river. The state of Hesse has given a province to the Rhineland so that it doesn’t cross the river – to maintain the vanilla map at game start, the nation of Hesse now owns this province as part of the split-state of the Rhineland.
The new event which grants claims to the natural French borders now also grants a claim to Gelre, now renamed North Brabant. The starting country layout remains exactly as vanilla, although balance-wise the game has slightly changed to account for the now coastal state of Gelre/North Brabant and Hesse owning an extra state.
