Die „Große Schwimmhalle“ wurde im Jahre 1969 in Dresden am Freiberger Platz erbaut. Zu dieser Zeit ließ die DDR Architektur eine erstaunliche Experimentierfreudigkeit zu.
Werte:
– 25 Arbeiter / max 350 Besucher
– Das Gebäude ist Kollisionsfrei und benötigt einen flachen Untergrund.
– zu jedem Weganschluss ist ein eigener Pfad im Inneren für die Besucher angelegt.
Hinweis:
Aufgrund von Einschränkungen durch das Spiel kann im Winter der Schnee nur in einem kreisrunden Bereich geblockt werden. Dadurch liegt zwar kein Schnee im Inneren, aber eben auch nicht auf dem Dach. Falls Sie den Schnee auf dem Dach dargestellt haben möchten und Schnee im Inneren nicht stört, muss in der „building.ini“ ganz oben die Zeile $PARTICLE_SNOWREMOVE 0 0 0 0 4.0 entfernt werden.

Über die "Große Schwimmhalle“:
Die „Große Schwimmhalle“ wurde als Prototyp von der VEB Projektierung für Sportbauten Leipzig 1969 in Dresden erbaut. Das besondere Merkmal des Gebäudes war das konkav geformte Spannbetondach und die große Fensterfront. Das Dach wurde aus Stahlbetonfertigteilplatten mit Spannstählen konstruiert und die Front bestand aus eloxierten Aluminiumprofilen mit dreifach Thermoscheiben. Das Schwimmbecken bestand aus 8 Bahnen und dazugehörigen Sprungplattformen. Außerdem gab es eine Gymnastikhalle, Kraftsportraum, eine Saunaanlage für 10 Personen und insgesamt 400 Zuschauerplätze. Bei der Konstruktion wurde stark darauf geachtet, dass alle Bestimmungen für Wettkämpfe im nationalen und auch internationalen Rahmen eingehalten werden.
Die Dresdner Schwimmhalle wurde das Vorbild für Zahlreiche andere Schwimmhallen, wie in Leipzig, Potsdam, Erfurt und Halle.

About the "Large Swimming Hall":
The "Large Swimming Hall" was built in Dresden in 1969 as a prototype by the VEB project planning for sports buildings Leipzig. The special feature of the building was the concave concrete roof and the large window front. The roof was constructed from prefabricated reinforced concrete panels with prestressing steel and the front consisted of anodised aluminum profiles with triple thermal windows. The swimming pool consisted of 8 lanes and associated diving platforms. There was also a gymnastics hall, weight training room, a sauna facility for 10 people and a total of 400 spectator seats. During construction, great care was taken to ensure that all regulations for national and international competitions are observed.
The Dresden swimming pool became the model for numerous other swimming pools, such as in Leipzig, Potsdam, Erfurt and Halle.
