Description:

The XCOM Project is activated as the aliens arrive to Earth.

This mod was initially released as set in the Cold War but due to Terra Invicta’s early access status I have decided to split the XCOM faction from the 1983 scenario (which will be rereleased later once the planned future changes to Earth are implemented to Terra Invicta on upcoming version 0.4.X).

Work in progress – the game is still on development, so expect bugs, crashes, broken saves, etc. And please report any bugs to the specific Steam or Discord threads.

To keep things simple and easier for players, the mod will always require the Terra Invicta beta release version (currently 0.4.49).

Includes:
* Five factions only; XCOM, the Resistance, EXALT, the Aliens and the Advent Coalition.
* The Alien faction will use ‘UFO’ and the UI elements now use XCOM terms (UFOPaedia, Geoscape, etc.).
* Specific name lists for XCOM habs (taken from Apocalypse) and ships (taken from Council countries cities and names of real ships/aircraft).
* The founding nations of XCOM are: United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Russia, China, India, Japan, Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa and Australia.
* XCOM specific orgs:
** Two faction objective orgs (XCOM Tactical Command and XCOM Aerospace Command).
** Headquarters, Grey Market and, Council Liaison orgs.
** Twelve XCOM regional commands (North America, South America, Europe, Siberia, North Africa, South Africa, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Australasia, Arctic, Antarctic and Pacific)
** Eleven XCOM research divisions (Area 51, Containment, Launch, Materials, Energy, Life, Military, Xenoscience, Social Science, Information and Space).
** Six XCOM and twenty-four national combat teams orgs.
* Regional commands, research divisions and combat teams require a councilor of the founding nation where they’re based to be acquired by XCOM.
* The Initiative is replaced with EXALT, an ancient international secret cabal who wishes to obtain control over the aliens and learn their secrets. EXALT is pro-alien but can’t be used or co-opted by the aliens.
* EXALT has a starting project called Major Arcana which gives the first of a possible total of 22 unique faction orgs, with their names and logos based on the Egyptian tarot deck.
* The Advent Coalition has specific orgs called ‘Peacekeeper’.
* 200+ additional national organizations.
* UI quotes include Vahlen and Shen’s musings from Enemy Unknown, as well as several other sources.
* Additional site locations for the Moon and Mars (including Cydonia Mensae).
