Description:

Everyone’s favorite dancer from the 2000s is now in Rivals! Accompanied by some other recognizable faces from other memes of the early era of the web.

The Gimmick: Web Relevance
– Web Relevance is Dancing Banana’s main gimmick, after all, he needs to stay relevant on the Internet!");
– The bar for Web Relevance can be filled by hitting attacks and parying attacks, but some will be lost if you are hit or parried.
– When the bar is full, you’ll gain a speed boost, and the bar will slowly drain unless you continue your attack to continuously refill it.
– Web Relevance is reset to 50 after death, so keep that in mind at all times.
– Don’t be reckless!

NSpecial: IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZER
– Based on the ‘IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZER’ joke in a parody of Dragon Ball.
– It works exactly like Muno Sandbert and Goku’s Kamehameha, with one exception
– By pressing the shield/parry button when charging, the beam will be stored
– The storage will be lost if you get hit once, though

FSpecial: Summon
– Based on multiple things:
+ The Nyan Cat video on Youtube from April, 2011
+ Epic Face from the SomethingAwful web forum from January, 2007
+ The Newgrounds Tank from the Tankmen web series by Johnny Utah
+ Weegee from Mario is Missing (1992)
– It will shoot one of four different projectiles with different properties, each determined in a cycle: Nyan Cat > Epic Face > Newgrounds Tank > Weegee > Back to Nyan Cat
– Nyan Cat goes straight forward, Epic Face bounces, the Tank is slow, big, and powerful compared to the other projectiles, and Weegee has erratic movement
– The projectile that will be thrown out will be shown in the HUD where Nyan Cat is.
– To change projectile, you can either do the attack normally, which will move you to the next projectile in the cycle, or you can manually change it by pressing attack during 1st window of the normal FSpecial, which also works as a fake out.
– It has some start-up and a cooldown, but this is by far your most useful special.
– It can be used as a combo extender, set-ups, bait, for chase, etc.
– (Also, it’s song is copyrighted and I didn’t add the song itself because of that so… sorry about that).

USpecial: Roflcopter
– Based on the Roflcopter of Microsoft Sam.
– It sends straight upwards, with you being able to move
– Even though this recovery isn’t great, and it doesn’t have a hitbox, it makes a funny noise, so it’s even.

DSpecial: Trollface
– Based on the Trollface from the MS Paint web comic done by Carlos Ramirez or Whynne on DeviantArt.
– This move is a counter, so you’ll need to use it when you get hit, almost like a parry.
– It’s worth noting that the counter only nullifies knockback, not damage, so you will still receive damage if you counter, unlike the parry.

Check the Muno Phone in Practice Mode for more info in the rest of the moveset and extra info on the moves that were shown here!

Huge thanks to Enzio/SSG for making the preview, CSS, and the animated portrait

And a MASSIVE thanks to everyone who suggested ideas for the character, really couldn’t have done it without those people.

IMPORTANT:
If you get a crash due to shaders with this character, I would advise you to check if Rivals of Aether is running on high performance, for the crash only happens when the game isn’t running on high performance.
(Im still trying to figure why the crash exactly happen, but I WILL figure it out, I WILL fix it)
