2-8-4 Berkshire
Finally, a real workhorse!
Here we have the flagship 2-8-4’s, the NKP Class S-2 and PM Class N-1, and as an added bonus, the Polar Express!
These super steamers came out in the mid ’40s and while not near as powerful as some of the articulated locomotives of that time, they could haul fast freight and do it right.
