## Overview
This mod attempted to re-balance infamy to allow for more aggressive playstyles while maintaining balance within reasonable boundaries of the vanilla game.

For the time being there is only English localization. If you have interest in translating a couple dozen lines please reach out!

## Features
Adjustment: The population multiplier for infamy is now 2/3 of what it is in vanilla.

You will now be able to be more aggressive with taking larger population states. Although, many of the larger states (looking at you, East and Southeast Asia) are way above population infamy cap, so will have no effect. I would like to change this to be either in part on in whole dependent on GDP of the state instead. Right now I think this is not possible to change though available files, but if I am wrong and you know a way please let me know!

New: Diplomatic Action "Diffuse Infamy" available to players and AI.

This action will let a country whose of reputable standing (for vanilla, this means under 25 infamy) take on 5 infamy to reduce a target country’s infamy by 25 for the price of an obligation. The structure of the action is very similar to the "Take on debt" action in the base game. Right now countries that are very close (genial attitude + maxed improved relations + no ideology differences) will do this. Countries that have strong similarities in government ideology will be more willing to attempt/accept this action. So far this action is quite rough and I would love feedback on how it affects your games.

## Compatibility
Right now the only issue would be if another mod overrides the population factor defines found in:
00_defines.txt

Anything other than this should work fine.

## Future Goals
Originally this mod was just increasing the decay rate based on available diplomacy points, but I have since changed to believing reducing infamy should be a hands-on process for the player. Based on this, I have put some thought into the following:

Adjusting/adding Grand Exhibition events to allow more reduction in infamy though choices during the process

Diplomatic Play/Action to reconcile after wars to reduce infamy of both sides in exchange for non-territorial concessions

Slider somewhere to take a hit on prestige in exchange for faster infamy decay

Re-balancing AI to find ‘notorious’ infamy a much more acceptable state to be in
